Asia Cup 2023: Babar Azam Spilled Pain Before PAK vs NEP Match. Asia Cup 2023 is going to start from today. The first match of this tournament will be played between Pakistan and Nepal.
Asia Cup Being Played in A Hybrid Model:-
This time the Asia Cup is being played in a hybrid model. Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam does not want to raise any issue regarding the ‘hybrid model’ of hosting the Asia Cup.

But he believes that it would have been better if all the matches of this prestigious tournament were organized in his country.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has the hosting rights for the Asia Cup but the Jay Shah-led Asian Cricket Council opted for a hybrid model with Sri Lanka hosting some of the matches. These also include matches between India and Pakistan.
Told Reporters On The Eve Of The Opening Match:-
“If you ask me, it would have been better if the entire tournament was hosted by Pakistan but unfortunately nothing can be done about it,” Babar told reporters on the eve of the opening match against Nepal.

“As professionals, we are ready for whatever program is given to us. These include traveling and playing back-to-back matches and we are ready for it.

4 matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan, while the remaining 9 matches will be held in Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan will be held in Kandy, Sri Lanka on 2 September.
