Asia Cup 2023: KL Rahul Ruled Out Of Matches Against Pakistan And Nepal. KL Rahul, who was included in the Indian team for the Asia Cup, will not be able to play the first two matches.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid Gave An Update On Rahul:-

Giving an update on KL Rahul, BCCI tweeted the statement of head coach Rahul Dravid on X (Twitter) that “KL Rahul is progressing well, but he will not be available for the first two matches against Nepal and Pakistan ”

At the same time, the head coach Dravid said in a press conference before the team left for Sri Lanka that “KL Rahul has batted well.

He is also doing wicketkeeping. Keeping the World Cup in mind, he will be rested for the first two matches.

He will Make A Full Comeback After Two Matches:-

After that, he will come back. He is expected to make a full comeback after two matches. We are not too worried about it.”

Even while announcing the squad for the Asia Cup, chief selector Ajit Agarkar had made it clear about KL that he is fit but still has a few issues that could keep him out of the initial matches.

At the same time, Shreyas Iyer has also been included in the squad after completing rehabilitation at NCA. After meeting the fitness standards, he has been selected to play on the team.

Team India’s first match in the Asia Cup is to be against Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. At the same time, the second match India vs Nepal will be played on September 4.
