Asia Cup 2023: Team India reached Sri Lanka for Asia Cup. The Indian team reached Sri Lanka on Wednesday for the Asia Cup. All the team members were seen at Colombo Airport.

Sri Lanka is Only One And a Half Hours Away from Bangalore:-

The team left Bangalore on Wednesday afternoon by team flight, after which they reached Colombo shortly after. The distance to Sri Lanka is just one and a half hours from Bangalore.

The Indian team’s first match is to be played against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. For which the Indian team has reached Colombo.

Indian players had shared photos on social media while the flight was taking off. This time, videos and pictures of landing at Colombo airport also came to the fore.

The Entire Indian Team Has Arrived For The Match:-

Along with captain Rohit Sharma, other players including Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jaspreet Bumrah were also seen.

The entire Indian team has arrived for the Asia Cup match to be held in Sri Lanka, but KL Rahul is still in Bangalore.

The wicket-keeper batsman will be participating in match simulation while staying at NCA. Significantly, Rahul will not be able to take part in the first two matches of the Asia Cup i.e. India vs Pakistan and India vs Nepal.

Head coach Rahul Dravid Had Said That:-

Giving this information, head coach Rahul Dravid had said that “KL has had a good week with us, he is playing well and is really progressing.

He will not be available for the first two matches.” On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah, who are returning from rehabilitation, have also reached Colombo with the team.

However, Bumrah also featured in the Ireland series ahead of the Asia Cup and did well leading the team. But Iyer has not played competitive cricket yet after recovering from injury.
