Recently, former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram revealed a candid conversation he had with Kohli regarding his popularity.
During the preshow of the Super 4 match between India and Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023, Akram said that he told Kohli that he comes in his dreams also.
Clarifying his statement further for the Indian batsman, he said that since he sees his face everywhere, he is not able to get him out of his mind.
Wasim Akram discussed with Kohli:-
The former Pakistan cricketer said on Star Sports, “Today I passed by him and told Virat Kohli that you come in my dreams now.
He replied, ‘What do you mean Wasim Bhai? I told him because I see you a lot on the television screen and that is why it is difficult for me to get you out of my mind.
Speaking further about the India vs Pakistan encounter, Akram praised Kohli as well as Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi and described them as match-winners for their respective teams.
He said, ‘Virat, Babar, and Shaheen are all match-winning players and play for matches like India-Pakistan.
