IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023: Dunith Vellalaghe Praised This Indian Bowler After Winning The Player Of The Match Award. Team India may have won the Asia Cup Super-4 match played between India and Sri Lanka, but a Sri Lankan player won hearts with his brilliant performance.

Just 20-year-old Dunith Vellalaghe not only took 5 wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs but also scored an unbeaten 42 runs in 46 balls, coming in at number eight in a difficult pitch and conditions.

Vellalaghe hit 3 fours and 1 six. He was the hero of the match. He was awarded the Player of the Match award for this all-round performance.

Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for 30 runs in 7 overs, while Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets for 33 runs in 10 overs. Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya got one wicket each.

Team India has qualified for the final after winning over Sri Lanka by 41 runs. The second finalist will be decided by the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on September 14.
