IND vs PAK, Gautam Gambhir: Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has not liked the camaraderie between the players of India and Pakistan on the middle ground. Gambhir says that players should maintain friendship outside the field.
Gautam Gambhir said on Star Sports show:-
Talking on Star Sports show Gautam Gambhir said, “When you are on the field playing for the national team, you should leave the friendship outside the boundary line. It is important to have a game face. Friendship should stay outside. That aggression should be visible in the eyes of the players of both the teams. No matter how friendly you can be after six to seven hours of cricket, those hours are important because you are not representing yourself, but you are a Playing for the country, whose population is in crores.
The former opener further added, “Nowadays you see players of rival team patting each other and shaking hands during the match itself. You didn’t see that at all a few years ago. You are only playing a friendly match.”
Players were seen having fun together :-
The match played between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 was disrupted by continuous rain. When the match was stopped due to rain, players of both the teams were seen talking and having fun with each other. Even before the start of the match, Virat Kohli was seen meeting the players of Pakistan.
IND vs PAK: Match washed out due to rain :-
The match played between India and Pakistan ended in favor of rain. After winning the toss and batting first, the entire Indian team was all out after scoring 266 runs. For the team, Ishan Kishan played a strong inning of 82 runs while Hardik Pandya played a strong inning of 87 runs. However, batsmen like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill flopped miserably. Shaheen Shah Afridi took four wickets in bowling for Pakistan.
