20 year old Sri Lankan spinner Dunith Wellalage did a similar feat in the Asia Cup match being played against India. At the age of just 20, the Sri Lankan spinner destroyed the top order of the Indian team.

Dunith Wellalage created history for Sri Lanka :-

While the top order of the Indian team was being praised a lot on Monday, the top order of Team India proved to be a flop against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. For India, captain Rohit Sharma played a stormy innings of 53 runs, but after that the entire team collapsed in front of Dunith Velalage one by one like a pack of cards.

Sri Lanka’s 20-year-old spinner Dunith took five wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs. During this period, he recorded a great record in his name.

Some information about Dunith Wellalage :-

Dunith Velalage, the 20 year old young bowler of the Sri Lankan team, was born on 9 January 2003 in Colombo. He made his first-class debut at the age of just 16. After the Under-19 World Cup, Dunith Wellalage attracted everyone’s attention.

Dunith Wellalage, who made his domestic debut in 2019, made his ODI debut for Sri Lanka in June 2022. He took 2 wickets in his debut match against Australia. He played his last ODI match against Bangladesh on 9 September in the Asia Cup, in which he got a success. So far in his ODI career, he has taken a total of 16 wickets while playing 13 matches.
