BBL: Tom Rogers replaces Glenn Maxwell on the team
Adam Zampa has been appointed captain for the Big Bash League (BBL) Melbourne Stars have also named the replacement of their veteran Glenn Maxwell. In a media release on Sunday, the Stars announced the replacement of Maxi by bowling all-rounder Tom Rogers.

Maxwell fractured his leg during his birthday party. And he underwent surgery on 13 November. He was ruled out of the ODI series against England. And they can skip the entire season of BBL.
Rogers, who made his BBL debut for Sydney Thunder in 2017, represented the Stars last season. And Tom will be joining the club again for the upcoming edition. On receiving another opportunity to play for the Stars, the Tasmanian said in a statement issued by the club: “I am thrilled to have another opportunity at this level, and it is great to be a part of the Stars again this season.”
The Adam Zampa-led Stars will begin their campaign against the Thunder in their tournament opener on December 13 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
