His father is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Hawthorne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and also played for Clarence and Hobart in the Tasmanian Football League (TFL), and served in AFL Tasmania. Matthew’s Domestic Career :-

Matthew Wade made a List A match for the Tasmania Tigers in the 2006–07 Ford Ranger One Day Cup season, his only appearance in any form of the game in his first spell for Tasmania as the state.

In the middle of the 2018/19 season, Matthew Wade was appointing captain of the Tasmanian team and the Hurricanes, following Cricket Tasmania’s decision to focus on George Bailey with his batting performance.

His International Career :-

In addition to his success in domestic limited-overs cricket. Wade was calling up to the Australian squad for a Twenty20 International against South Africa for the first time in October 2011.

In February 2012, he made his international breakthrough as a T20I player against India in Sydney, opening the batting and scoring 72 off 43 balls, and collecting the man of the match award.

On 16 July 2020, Wade was naming in a 26-man preliminary squad of players to resume training ahead of a possible tour of England following the COVID-19 pandemic.
