Bhuvneshwar is an Indian international cricketer who plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic first-class cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

Kumar is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who swings the ball both ways, his inswingers are more effective than outswings, and is particularly adept at making late swings.
Bhuvneshwar made his international debut in December 2012 against Pakistan in December 2012, taking three wickets in a Twenty20 International.
He made his One Day International (ODI) appearance in the series that followed. He is the first Indian bowler to take five wickets in Test cricket, ODI, and T20I.

Indian Premier League
In addition to his performances in the 2008/09 Ranji season, he was awarded an Indian Premier League (IPL) agreement by Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2011, he was signed by Pune Warriors India, but after the disbandment of the team, he was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014.
In 2016, he played in the Sunrisers team that won the 2016 Indian Premier League, taking 23 wickets and winning the Purple Cap as the highest wicket-taker during the season. Bhuvneshwar was made the vice-captain of the team.

He was selected in India’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup but was later ruled out of several matches due to a leg injury.
In June 2021, he has selected India’s vice-captain for their ODI and T20I matches against Sri Lanka, and in September 2021, Kumar was named in India’s squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
