His Early Life :-

Ruturaj Gaikwad is an Indian cricketer who plays for Maharashtra in domestic cricket and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his international debut in July 2021 for the India cricket team.

Ruturaj Gaikwad hails from Pune, Maharashtra. His father is Dashrath Gaikwad, who was an employee of the Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO). His mother Savita Gaikwad is a teacher in a municipality school.

Ruturaj’s parents never insisted on him studying more and playing less cricket. Gaikwad’s native village is Pargaon Memane village in the Saswad area of ​​the Pune district of Maharashtra.

Ruturaj’s Indian Premier League :-

In December 2018, Ruturaj was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

On 2 October 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his maiden IPL century by scoring an unbeaten 101 against Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 tournament. On 15 October, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs in the final, with Ruturaj scoring 32 off 27 balls to contribute to CSK’s total.

He won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs (635) in the 2021 tournament and was also covering with the Emerging Player of the Year award.

Following his good performance in the 2021 season, Gaikwad was retaining by Chennai Super Kings for ₹6 crores ahead of the 2022 IPL auction.

Gaikwad’s International Career :-

Gaikwad was naming in India’s One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Sri Lanka on June 2021.

He made his T20I debut for India against Sri Lanka on 28 July 2021.
