Haq is a Scottish Cricketer:-

Majid Haque is a Scottish cricketer, having guided Scotland at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 levels, arriving for the senior team on 20 July 2002 in a European Championship match against England Board XI.

He was a member of the Scottish squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. Haque is the cousin of fellow cricketer Omar Hussain. Omar and Majid have both played for Kelburn Cricket Club, Fergusley Cricket Club, and Clydesdale Cricket Club.

Majid’s Career:-

Haq and Omar grew up in the same household in Hunterhill, going to the same schools and cricket clubs, first Old Grammarian, then Kelburn, where they were coached by Roddy McClelland.

In late 2002, after Roddy McClelland retired from coaching, Omar moved to Fergusley Cricket Club.

Majid was selected for the tour of Dubai and Kenya and for the World Cricket League Division One tournament, in which he was runner-up to participate in the 2007 Twenty20 World Championships to be held in South Africa after 2007.

However his cousin Omar was not selected and lost his place in the final World Cup squad to fellow cricketer Glenn Rogers.
