Geoff Marsh is only the third Test player after Walter Hadley and Lala Amarnath to have two sons playing Test cricket: Shaun Marsh, who made his Test debut in 2011 against Sri Lanka.

Marsh retired from playing cricket in 1994. Which takes up coaching. In July 1996 he was selected to coach the Australian national Test and One Day International teams, a role instrumental in continuing his country’s status as the peak cricketing nation of the time.
