Joe is an English cricketer who currently captains the England Test team and plays for the England One Day International (ODI) team. And he also represents Yorkshire in English domestic cricket. And played for Sydney Thunder in the 2018–19 Australian Twenty20 Big Bash League.

Root’s Personal Life :-
His father name Root is the eldest son of Helen and his mother Matt Root and grew up in Dore, Sheffield. He has a younger brother, Billy, who plays cricket for Glamorgan.
He attended Door Primary and King Ecgbert School in Sheffield, and at the age of 15, on a cricket sports scholarship, attended Worksop College as a weekly boarder.

Joe’s Captaincy :-
Following his resignation. Root replaced Alastair Cook as full-time Test captain on 13 February 2017, making him England’s 80th captain.
In his first match as captain, on 6 July 2017, against South Africa at Lord’s, Joe scored his 12th Test century with an innings of 190.
He was the sixth (and highest-scoring) player from England to score a Test century in his captaincy debut. He also had an effect on the recall of county teammate Gary Ballance to the England squad.
