Sahibzada Muhammad Shahid Khan Afridi’s name is one of the best all-rounders in Pakistan. He has also been the captain of the Pakistan cricket team and was born on 1 March 1975. Afridi, who entered the world of cricket in 1996, is also known as Boom Boom Afridi. He was given this name by famous Indian cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri. Afridi is known for his aggressive batting all over the world and for this reason, he has made many records like the record of hitting the most sixes and the record of the best strike rate. According to a recent survey, he is the most famous player in Pakistan.
The fastest century after a few days of debut:
Afridi made his international debut in October 1996 at the age of just sixteen, at that time he was only 16 years old. Shahid Afridi was taken place of Mushtaq Ahmed as the leg-spinner. However, in a very short time, he started showing Jauhar with his bat. Shortly after his debut, he surprised the whole world by scoring 102 runs in just 37 balls in Sri Lanka on 4 October 1996. This record of Shahid Afridi still stands.

The target of three hundred wickets in ODI cricket was achieved while playing against Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup. He is the second all-rounder in the world after Jayasuriya who has taken more than 6000 thousand runs and more than three hundred wickets in ODI cricket. The ICC T20 World Cup was played for the first time in the year 2007 and India won its final match. But no one could suppress Shahid Afridi even here. He was chosen as the player of the series. Apart from this, in the 2009 World Cup, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in the final. In the final match, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets due to the half-century batting of Shahid Afridi.
