IPL 2023: RCB all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed Reveals. Wanted to remain unsold at auction. He was expected to go unsold on auction day in 2020.
I never thought that RCB would buy me:-
The Indian Premier League (IPL) will start on 31 March. Earlier, RCB all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has given a shocking statement.

He revealed that he was hoping to go unsold to the Virat Kohli-led franchise on auction day in 2020.
In the latest episode of the RCB Podcast, Ahmed admitted that he did not expect the Bangalore team to bid for him in the auction.
So after going unsold in the first round of the auction, he switched off the TV. Ahmed said- I never thought that RCB would choose me, it was surprising.
Every Cricketer Wants To Play in the IPL:-
To be honest, I had a shoulder injury at that time. Every cricketer wants to play in IPL and then my domestic season was going well.
Association people had said that I got a chance in the auction, but I never thought that RCB would buy me.
In fact, I was thinking that it would be better if I go unsold because I didnโt want the IPL to be a problem again. If I am not fit then the season will go in vain.
I Turned Off The TV:-
Shahbaz further said- My partner Ishaan Porel was first selected by Punjab. After that it was my turn. For the first time I went unsold and I was very happy.
I switched off the TV and felt relieved, but as the auction was about to end, my friends told me that I had been picked by RCB.
