ICC T20I Ranking, Ravi Bishnoi: 23-year-old Indian young spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who has progressed very fast in T20I cricket, has secured the No.1 position in the ICC T20I Rankings.
After contributing significantly to the Indian team’s series win by taking nine wickets in five matches at an average of 18.22 against Australia, Bishnoi has overtaken Rashid Khan as the world’s No. 1 bowler with 699 points.
Bishnoi’s performance in the T20I series against Australia is like this:-
In the T20I series against Australia, Bishnoi took 3 wickets for 32 runs in the first match, 2 wickets for 32 runs in the second match, 2 wickets for 29 runs in the third match, 1 wicket for 17 runs in the fourth match and 54 runs in the fifth match. By taking 1 wicket, he took a jump of 6 places from 7th position in ICC T20I Ranking and achieved the position of No.1.

Now talking about Bishnoi’s journey, Bishnoi’s performance is continuously increasing after playing the Under-19 World Cup for India in the year 2022. Bishnoi finished the tournament as the top wicket-taker with 17 wickets and immediately caught the attention of the selectors.
Bishnoi then made his debut for India later that year, taking part in the Asia Cup campaign, where he took the wicket of former captain Babar Azam against Pakistan. In just 21 T20I matches, Bishnoi has already scalped 34 wickets at an average of 17.38, including a best of 4/16 against West Indies at Lauderhill in August last year.

This ranking has come at the right time for Bishnoi. He can emerge as a strong contender for India’s top spinner in the upcoming ICC event T20 World Cup as Yuzvendra Chahal has been sidelined from the T20 team and the management is looking for a young talent for the World Cup in West Indies and USA.
