39-year-old James Anderson became the first fast bowler to take 650 wickets in Test cricket

New Delhi, Online Desk. England vs New Zealand 2nd test match: 39-year-old James Anderson achieved a special place in Test cricket which no fast bowler had done so far. The highly experienced England fast bowler completed his 650 wickets in the longest format of cricket during the second test match against New Zealand. James Anderson has now become the first fast bowler in the world to touch the 650-wicket mark for the first time in Test cricket.

In the first innings of the second Test against New Zealand, James Anderson took 3 for 62 in 27 overs, while he achieved a breakthrough in the second innings (till the writing of the news). With the help of these wickets, he took his wicket figure in Test cricket to 650. Not only this, James Anderson is present in the third place in terms of taking the most wickets in Test cricket, while as a fast bowler, he is the highest wicket-taker in this format. Apart from this, he is the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket for England.
