Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to top the ICC Test rankings after his brilliant performance in the second Test against England. In Visakhapatnam, this 30-year-old bowler left behind Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada and Ravichandran Ashwin by taking nine wickets. And

He is the fourth player from the country to reach the top ranking of Test bowlers. In the second test match, Bumrah took a total of nine wickets, for which he also got the player of the match. Former South African captain AB de Villiers has praised Bumrah’s performance.

AB de Villiers said in the video shared on his YouTube channel, “Bumrah bowls brilliantly. Jasprit Bumrah is a great player! Nine wickets at an average of 10.11 and other bowlers also took 10 wickets each. But I would like to add that they were hunting together. His statistics are not good but he played an important role in getting him wickets. It’s not an individual game and that’s what I like about this Indian attack.”

AB de Villiers praised Jasprit Bumrah, said this on the yorker ball

He further said, “This (yorker) is definitely his weapon in all the formats he plays. While playing against him, I always felt that yorker was his main weapon. He takes a lot of wickets with this even in Tests.

Bumrah replaced Ashwin :-

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah replaced Ashwin in this ranking, who was on top of this list for the last 11 months. Ashwin, who took 499 wickets in Test matches, slipped to third place. Bumrah has 881 rating points in his name. He is fourth after Ashwin (904) and Jadeja (899) in terms of scoring the highest rating points. Ashwin and Jadeja were jointly at the top in March 2017.
