The ACB may allow its national cricketers to participate in only three franchise-based T20 leagues to ensure their receipt in domestic tournaments.

The 14 Member Technical Committee Constituted :-

The ACB has recently constituted a 14-member technical committee to examine and delineate the existing cricket structure. In addition to their assessment, they have come up with a new work project to raise its standards.

The committees have already sat together a couple of times to discuss various aspects to take the sport forward in the country, considering what they need to do, with specific plans on what they need to do, to give the top ACB management a chance. Will have to report back so that the board can be committed.

Afghanistan cricketers are a hot commodity in the world of franchise-dependent T20 cricket. They regularly participate in almost every major T20 tournament around the world at the cost of skipping their home tournaments, as their presence is rare in competitions played in their own backyards.

ACB May Allow Players to Participate in Franchise Leagues

Raees Ahmedzai, a member of the newly formed Technology Committee, told Cricbuzz: “Our (Technical Committee) project is to discuss with the higher authorities of the ACB regarding the partnership of our leading national cricketers in domestic tournaments.”

The Three franchise-based T20 Leagues :-

The ACB will reduce their (players’) partnerships in various franchise leagues and ask players to participate in only three franchise-based T20 leagues in a year and they can choose their own misconceptions as it is their choice.”

“The selection committee requests – that in various Test countries, first-class cricket is a priority and we have to follow the same path as players would be expected to play first-class cricket to get selected in the Test team,” he said.

ACB’s 14-member technical committee includes Abdulwali Amin, Ahmed Shah Suleman Khil, Allah Dad Noori, Daawat Khan Ahmedzai, Ehsan Obaid, and Menhaj Raz, Mohammad Khan, Nazim Jar, Mohammad Salam Afghan, Navroz Mangal, Noor Malikzai, Rais Khan. Ahmedzai, Shahid Alokozai and Taj Malik Alam.

Raees Khan, who is very vocal about encouraging fast bowlers, said that the committee would request to bring in foreign curators to develop their local ground staff so that they can produce wickets to motivate the fast bowlers.

The ICC’s Future Tour Program :-

In addition to participating in various ICC and ACC events over the next two years. Afghanistan will play 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is. And 3 Tests in 2022–23, in line with the ICC’s Future Tour program.

Afghanistan will make its debut in January 2022 by hiring. the Netherlands for a three-match ODI series. That is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League in Qatar.

In addition to the series against the Netherlands. Afghan will travel to Zimbabwe in January–February to play three ODIs. while he is due to feature Australia and Pakistan for three ODIs.

Additionally, they will travel to India, Bangladesh. And Sri Lanka to play three series (away) in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League until 2023.

Afghanistan has played just one Super League series so far and has accumulated a full 30 points. After a clean sweep of the Irish earlier this year.
