Afghanistan’s senior all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has returned to the 50-over format as he has been included in the 16-man Afghanistan squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, starting February 23.
The Guidance of T20 Team in Two Matches:-
Nabi will also continue to guide the T20 team in two 20-over matches against Bangladesh in March. Afghanistan’s squad for the T20 World Cup last year has seen five changes.

Asghar Afghan (Retd), Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Shahzad, Hashmatullah, Hamid Hasan, and Naveen-ul-Haq are missing while Darvesh Rasuli, Ajmatullah Omerzai, Afsar Zazai, Qais Ahmed, and Nijat Masood have taken their place.
Usman Ghani is out of the ODI squad. While Ibrahim Zadran and Nabi have been included. Salim Safi and Qais Ahmed are traveling reserves while Hashmat Shahidi will guide the team in the three ODIs.

The Afghanistan team began its week-long preparations at the Sylhet International Stadium on Monday (February 14). BCB officials backed Cricbuzz that all their members tested negative for COVID-19, giving them consent to start preparations for the series.
Rashid Khan and Nabi, who are currently participating in the Pakistan Super League, will feature in the squad ahead of the ODI series starting February 23 in Chattogram.

Ashraf said in a Statement:-
“The selectors have brought in some young faces in the ODI series which is a good sign for us, as we move into the World Cup next year.
Three ODIs are important for us and I am sure there is a lot of strength in the team. Well when they take the field,’ ACB president Mirwais Ashraf said in a statement.

The second and third ODIs will be playing in Chattogram on February 25 and 28. Before the teams travel to Dhaka for two T20Is on March 3 and 5.
