Indian pacer Mohammed Shami had trolled former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar after Pakistan’s defeat in the final of the T20 World Cup 2022. Responding to Shoaib Akhtar‘s tweet on Twitter, Mohammed Shami wrote, ‘Sorry brother, this is karma.’ Indian fans liked this tweet of Shami very much, but the veteran cricketer of the neighboring country got angry at this act of Shami. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi said on this reaction of Mohammed Shami that we are ambassadors and role models of cricket, we should not do this.

During a show on Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi said –

“We the cricketers, we are its ambassadors and role models. We should try to end all this. We are each other’s neighbors. Such things should not happen that spread hatred among people. If only we will do this. So what do we expect from the common man.”

During this, Shahid Afridi said that only this game can improve the relations between the two countries and with this he also said that in the coming times he wants to see India play in Pakistan.

Shahid Afridi further said –

“We will have a better relationship with sports. We want to play with them. Want to see in Pakistan. Even if you are a retired player… even then you shouldn’t. But you are playing cricket at present, all these things should be avoided.”

In the semi-finals, England defeated India by a huge margin of 10 wickets. After this, the Indian team and especially the bowlers were severely criticized. During this, the former cricketers of the Pakistan team, who reached the finals, lashed out fiercely. Now when his team lost in the final, Mohammed Shami could not contain himself and he pulled Shoaib Akhtar.
