Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 due to a finger injury. Royal Challengers Bangalore have replaced Bengal medium pacer Akash Deep in his place.

Washington Injured His Right Hand Finger After Being Hit by a Sharp Lifter:
Washington suffered a finger injury on his right hand after he was hit by a sharp lifter from Mohammad Siraj in a warm-up game between the county selection XI and the Indians, just ahead of the five-match Test series against England. He was later taken for an X-ray and the result confirmed the fracture. The off-spinning all-rounder has been a part of the RCB set-up since the start of the 2018 season.

RCB said that “Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2021 due to a finger injury.
