Leg-spinner Wellington, a colorful character with a fresh perspective on life and cricket, as well as a penchant for collecting, has spent his time in Birmingham, which has everything life has to offer at the Commonwealth Games.

The 25-year-old, who burst onto the international cricket scene as an untimely talented teenager four years away from the Australian setup, returned to the fold ahead of this year’s ODI World Cup with a new maturity and a motto. to live by.
She’s had dinner with Anna Meyers, chatted with Peter Boll, and made mates from Lesotho, but there’s one element of the games that has captured her imagination: pin collecting.
It is a tradition in multi-sport events, in which athletes are given a set of pins unique to the country they are representing, which they can then trade with athletes from other countries.

“I had dinner with Anna Meyers last night and I was telling her about the pin and how I enjoyed the whole experience,” Wellington said.
“I was telling him I’ve got somewhere between 40 and 50 pins, but I’m going to try and archive the whole thing.
“So she was like, ‘I can help you when I’m in the main village…’ And very soon this morning, I got a message from Anna. ‘I got this pin from Jersey, you can help me. You can tick the list.
“It’s so incredible to be here,” said Wellington:-
“I have gone out of my way to experience this because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
“I’ve met Peter Boll, Cody Simpson, Emma Mckeon, a lot of people love it incredible.
“Even on our vacations, I have gone to the main village. And sat on the athletic track just to watch people train.
“It’s incredible how people go about their training. It’s so different from cricket, and they’re very precise in what they do, and it’s so fascinating to watch.”
