Rohit hits a special half-century- Captain Rohit Sharma’s bat remained silent once again in the T20 World Cup match between India and Zimbabwe. After winning the toss at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Rohit returned to the pavilion after scoring 15 runs in 13 balls. Even in this group match of the Super 12 stage, Rohit did not appear in the rhythm and returned to the pavilion by giving an easy catch to Masakadza off the ball of Mujrabani.

Rohit may have failed as a batsman but he achieved a special achievement as a captain. Rohit joined the skin club of Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni as he entered the match against Zimbabwe. This is his 50th T20 International as captain.
