Arshdeep Singh finds Umran Malik‘s fearsome pace to be beneficial as batsmen are always struggling to adjust due to the marked difference in their respective paces. Arshdeep is a swing bowler who usually scores an opening 130 when in rhythm. kmph. He is known for his death bowling and his strength is his yorker, while Umran can intimidate batsmen by bowling consistently at over 145 kmph.

Talking about his friendship with Umran in the pre-match press conference, Arshdeep said –

“Umran is always good to bowl with and it’s a great dressing room environment with him. He loves to joke around too.”

Arshdeep Singh further said – “As far as bowling is concerned, bowling with him is beneficial for me as batsmen can get cheated by the pace when they have to face someone who bowls at 155 kmph.” 135 kmph. So we are enjoying bowling on and off the field as well. Hope we continue our partnership.”

Arshdeep has taken 33 wickets in 21 Twenty20 Internationals since making his debut in England in July earlier this year. Since then, he has become India’s go-to bowler in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah during successive Asia Cups as well as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

Talking about the difference in bowling in both the formats, Arshdeep said –

“As a bowler I have not given much thought that there is much difference between these two formats. Like right now I am bowling attacking in the beginning and defending in the last. My aim is to take wickets for the team. Haven’t even thought that there will be any difference between these two formats. Wherever I get a chance to perform, I will give my best.”
