Ashes 2023, 5th Test: Ben Stokes shatters 18-year-old record

Ben Stokes, Ashes: A five-match Ashes Test series is being played between England and Australia. The fifth and final match of the Ashes series is being played at The Oval ground in London. After the play of the third day of the fifth Test, England have scored 389 runs at the loss of 9 wickets.

Captain Ben Stokes has registered a big record for England. Ben Stokes played a blistering inning during the fifth Test. He may have scored 42 runs, but Stokes holds the biggest record in the history of Ashes. Stokes has become the batsman to hit 15 sixes in the Ashes series.

England captain Ben Stokes has registered the record for most sixes in the history of the Ashes series without making 42. Stokes has smashed the old record of former England player Kevin Pietersen by hitting 15 sixes, the most in the history of Ashes. Please tell that Pietersen had hit 14 sixes in the Ashes.

Stokes also equaled Hetmyer’s record of West Indies :-

Ben Stokes also equaled West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer for most sixes in a Test series. Hetmyer is second in terms of most sixes in a Test series as he hit 15 sixes against Bangladesh in the 2018-19 series. In this case, the name of Team India captain Rohit Sharma is on top.
