The first Test match of the Ashes series is being played between England and Australia at Edgbaston. With this series, WTC 2023-25 has started. Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon of Australia has created history.

Ashes 2023: Nathan lyon became the first bowler to complete 150 wickets –

Nathan became the first bowler to complete 150 wickets since the inception of the World Test Championship (WTC). Nathan achieved this feat in the first Test at the beginning of the third season of WTC.

Nathan took 4 wickets in England’s second innings. He also took 4 wickets in the first innings, with which he took a total of 8 wickets in both the innings.

Nathan has taken 152 wickets in 35 matches of the 3rd WTC season. However, he bowled well against India in the WTC final as well. He took one wicket in the first innings and 4 wickets for 41 runs in the second innings.

After Nathan, the second bowler to complete 150 wickets in WTC can become England’s Stuart Broad, who has taken 141 wickets so far. Apart from this, Indian bowler R Ashwin is at number three, who has taken a total of 132 wickets during the WTC. However, if Ashwin had played in the final, his number could have increased.
