Asia Cup 2022: Bangladesh may host Asia Cup in place of Sri Lanka, India-Pakistan already out of the race

Asia Cup 2022 is to be held in the month of August and September this month, but till now there is doubt on the hosting of this tournament. The Asian Cricket Council had earlier given its hosting to Sri Lanka, but due to the ongoing economic crisis and political instability here, there is talk of organizing the Asia Cup in another country.

Asia Cup 2022:Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh can get the hosting of Asia Cup :-

According to media reports, in view of the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, the Asian Cricket Council started looking for other options for hosting the Asia Cup. India and Pakistan are already out of this race. In such a situation, Bangladesh can be given the hosting of Asia Cup 2022.

Asia Cup will start from 27th August 2022 :-

The Asia Cup will start from 27 August 2022 and the final of the tournament will played on 11 September. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka has told the people of his country that the coming two months are going to be the most difficult for him. There, there is no supply of food items and the prices of everything are skyrocketing.

India and Pakistan cannot host Asia Cup 2022 :-

India and Pakistan are the two biggest teams in the Asia Cup; but the political tension between these two countries has been going on for a long time and relations are very bad. For this reason, these two countries cannot play each other and both cannot host the Asia Cup.

In such a situation, apart from Bangladesh, UAE and Oman are the two options for hosting this tournament. In both these countries the temperature is very high during the summer. Because of this, the Asian Cricket Council would not like to organize the Asia Cup here too. In such a situation, Bangladesh is the most appropriate option to host the Asia Cup.

Pakistan will not play ODI series in Sri Lanka :-

Pakistan was to play a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in the coming times; but this series has been canceled after talks between the two countries. However, a two-match Test series will played in July-August.

At the same time, before the tour of Sri Lanka; the Australian team is also keeping an eye on the conditions there. Australia has to play a series of three T20s, five ODIs and two Test matches in Sri Lanka. These series will be played in the month of June and July.
