Asia Cup 2023: The schedule of Asia Cup 2023 can be released at any time. Despite so much tension regarding the schedule of the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board has got only one domestic match in its hands. In the matches played in Pakistan, the Pakistan team will get to play only the match against Nepal at home. Apart from this, all the remaining matches of the team will be in Sri Lanka only. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in Dambulla.

Asia Cup 2023: Schedule approved after an internal dispute between PCB and BCCI

The Asia Cup schedule can be released any time on July 14. The schedule has been approved after long delays and internal disputes between the PCB and the BCCI. However, Pakistan was not given full hosting rights. The tournament will be played on the lines of a hybrid model and Pakistan will have to be satisfied with only one home match.

A senior BCCI official told that “All aspects of the program have been approved. Pakistan will play only one home match. But no one has control over this thing. The program will be released soon.”

Matches to be played in Pakistan will start from August 31

The matches to be played in Pakistan will start from 31st August. In which the first match will be played Pakistan vs Nepal. The schedule has been approved by the Asian Cricket Council. In such a situation, Pakistan is left with no other option but to agree to this proposal. In the past, Pakistan’s Sports Minister Ehsan Mazari had disagreed with the hybrid model proposed by the PCB chairman. But after talking to ACC President and BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, the PCB accepted the proposal. After four matches in Pakistan, the remaining 11 matches will be held in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka will also host the final.
