Asian Games 2023: Nepal batsmen played abroad, many world records broken

Asian Games 2023: Nepal cricket team created a new record in world cricket on 27 September in the Asian Games. Nepal made the highest score (314/3) in T-20 cricket in the league match played against Mongolia. This was the first time in history that a team scored more than 300.

Nepal’s batsmen created a stir on foreign soil and registered many historical records in their names. Nepal has become the first team to score more than 300 runs in Hangzhou, China. Nepal broke many records by registering a record-breaking 273-run win against Mongolia. Let us know about these records in detail.

Asian Games 2023: Nepal first team to cross 300 :-

Apart from Nepal, no other team in the history of T-20 cricket has been able to score more than 300. Nepal made this big blast against Mongolia in the Asian Games. Before Nepal, the highest score in T-20 was made by Afghanistan team against Ireland in the year 2019. Afghanistan had scored 278 runs at that time.

Fastest century in T-20 :-

Nepal’s batsman Kushal Malla completed the fastest century in T-20 international cricket in just 34 balls. He broke the previous world record jointly held by David Miller and Rohit, who had scored a century in 35 balls.

Deependra Singh Airi’s powerful half-century in 9 balls:-

Nepal’s number five batsman Deependra Singh Airi broke Yuvraj Singh’s 16-year-old record by scoring a strong half-century in 9 balls. Yuvraj Singh had scored a half-century in 12 balls while playing an inning of 58 runs in the World T-20 match against England in 2007, but Deependra hit the fastest fifty in 12 balls.

Asian Games 2023: Won by the biggest margin :-

Nepal won against Mongolia by a huge margin of 273 runs. It won by the highest margin in terms of runs in all T20s. Chasing the target given by Nepal, Mongolia team was all out for only 41 runs. In this way, it was Nepal’s victory by the biggest margin. The previous biggest margin by Czech Republic was 257 runs against Turkey in the year 2019.

Strike rate of more than 500 in T20:-

Airi’s strike rate in his unbeaten innings of 52 runs on 10 balls was unmatched. This is the first time in T20 that a batsman has scored runs at a strike rate of more than 500 (520) in an innings of 10 or more balls.00000
