Asian Games 2023: Pakistan Cricket has announced its 15-member squad for Asian Games 2023.

The captaincy of the Pakistan team was handed over to 20-year-old uncapped young all-rounder Qasim Akram. Apart from this, the responsibility of wicketkeeping was given to Muhammad Akhlaq.

Pakistan will participate directly from the quarter final stage :-

The inaugural Asian Games 2023 will be played from 23 September to 8 October. The captaincy of Pakistan Cricket team has been given to Qasim Akram who has played 20 first class matches and 40 T20 matches. Last year, Pakistan’s Under-10 team was also led by Qasim Akram.

There are 8 players in the Pakistan team who have played international cricket for Pakistan. Let us inform that the Pakistan team will start its campaign for the Asian Games from 3 October. Like the Indian team in the tournament, Pakistan will also take part directly from the quarter-final stage due to their good ranking.

Qasim Akram (Captain), Omair Bin Yousuf (Vice-Captain), Amir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Arshad Iqbal, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Mirza Tahir Baig, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Akhlaq (wk), Rohail Nazir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Sufiyan Mukim and Usman Qadir.
