AUS vs WI, 1st T20I: Australian batsman David Warner completed his 100th T20I match on Friday, February 9, after playing in the first T20I match of the series played between Australia and West Indies. In this match, Warner played a brilliant inning of 70 runs and led his team to an 11-run victory over West Indies at Bellerive Oval.

David Warner became man of the match :-

Warner played an innings of 70 runs in just 36 balls in which he hit 12 fours and 1 six and was eventually caught out by Nicholas Pooran on the ball of Alzarri Joseph. Due to this explosive innings, Warner was also chosen Man of the Match.

David Warner hinted at retirement after playing T20 World Cup :-

Warner said after the match, “Happy to win. It was a good wicket to bat on and you have to make the most of it. I am feeling very good and fresh after playing a good innings. I want to play the T20 World Cup and finish there. This will be a good journey for the next 6 months. ,

Also, let us tell you that apart from Warner, spinner Adam Zampa was also in good form in this match and he took 3 wickets for 26 runs, which included the wickets of openers Johnson Charles, Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell.

Australia will play six T20Is matches in the next three weeks :-

Also, Australia, who have to play six T20Is in the next three weeks, defeated West Indies 3-0 in the ODI series and now lead 1-0 in the three-match T20Is. The second match of this series will be played in Adelaide on Sunday, 11 February.

Also, let us tell you that last month, Warner played the last Test match for his country in Sydney and scored another explosive half-century in his last innings.

Test career of David Warner :-

Warner has had a brilliant career in Tests for the Australian team. In 112 Test matches, the left-handed batsman scored 8786 runs at an average of 44.6, which included 26 centuries and 37 half-centuries. He also has a huge score of 335 runs against Pakistan.
