Australia Retained the Women’s Ashes for two ODIs

Canberra, Feb 3 (AP) Australia retained the Women’s Ashes after beating England in the first one-day international of the multi-format series on Thursday.

England needed to win all three ODIs to win the Ashes but suffered a 27-run defeat in the first ODI in Canberra. He had to score 206 runs to beat Australia but the team was reduced to 178 runs.

Australian team took an 8-4 point lead in the series which cannot be defeated. In the remaining two ODIs, the winning team will get two points each.

Australia has retained the Ashes series since 2013-14

The only Test was a draw between Australia and England. At the same time, only one of the three Twenty20 matches could be completed in which Australian team won.

England team can still draw the series by winning the remaining two ODIs.

Australian team also won the men’s Ashes series last month.
