Australia suffered a blow before the ODI series against India, Maxwell injured again

Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell did return to the field, but he has been injured once again. He suffered a wrist injury while playing for Victoria ahead of the three-match ODI series against India and had to be carried off the field.

In the match, the ball took the outside edge of the batsman’s bat and went in the direction of slip. In the first slip, prompt Glenn tried to catch the catch. However, the ball fell in front of him and hit on his wrist. Maxwell was looked after by the team’s medical staff, but he was not allowed to bat in the second innings.

Maxwell’s scan was done, in which no fracture has been found. Cricket Victoria’s spokesperson confirmed this. However, it is yet to be decided whether he will bat in the second innings or not. Let us tell you that Glenn Maxwell is playing his first Sheffield Shield match in four years.

Maxwell returned to the pavilion after scoring only 5 runs –

Maxwell suffered a leg injury, after which he made a comeback. However, the return of the Australian all-rounder was not a memorable one and he returned to the pavilion after scoring only 5 runs. Earlier, to prove his fitness for the Sheffield Shield match, he scored a half-century in the Victorian Premier League.

Glenn Maxwell is expected to return to the national team for the three-match ODI series against India next month. Australia has not yet announced the team for the ODI series.
