Australia’s Glenn Maxwell Tests Positive for Covid-19

Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has tested positive for Covid-19, the Melbourne Stars have endorsed.

The Stars Captain Gets Rapid Antigen Test :-

Following his team’s loss to the Melbourne Renegades on Monday night, the Stars captain underwent a rapid antigen test and came to a positive conclusion.

He is now in isolation, awaiting the conclusion of a PCR test, which he has also been tested for.

Maxwell is delayed being infecting with the virus at the Stars dugout. Where 12 other players and 8 staff members have contracted it.

A Absence of First-Team Members :-

Such was the chaos and situation in the Stars, that due to the absence of certain first-team members due to the virus, they had to field a poor team for the final two competitions.

Amid the gloom of the spreading virus, the good news for the Stars is that around 10 players, including Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis, and Nathan Coulter-Nile, will be done with their seven-day isolation period for contracting the virus.

Moreover the next few days for the Stars’ next match – against the Adelaide Strikers on Friday.

Glenn Maxwell is the 13th-star player to contract COVID-19 after 12 others and eight staff members were also killing.

A Captained The Star Team :-

Maxwell had captained a poor star team in his last two competitions against the Perth Scorchers and Renegades, with the team being supplemented by replacement players and coached by a stand-in coaching staff.

Ten players and eight coaching staff are set to come out of isolation for the Stars’ next match against the Adelaide Strikers on Friday.
