Axar Patel Re-Join The Squad

Axar Patel has been included again in the team for the second Test match between India and Sri Lanka starting from 12 March. He has been included in the team in place of Kuldeep.

Why He is not Available for First Test Match

Axar Patel was not available for the first test match against Sri Lanka. Because Akshar Patel had a shin injury, apart from this, he was also suffering from Covid-19. In his place, the team included Jayant Yadav in the team, who finished the match without taking a wicket in both innings. India won this Test match by 1 inning and 222 runs in which Jayant Yadav’s spin partner R Ashwin and Jadeja took 15 wickets in total.

Patel Replaced Kuldeep

Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav did not take part in the first test match against Sri Lanka. India entered the match with the option of three spinners in that match and the same option India second. Keeps in Test match also Akshar can get a place in playing 11 in place of Jayant Yadav.
