The BCCI nominates Axar Patel in his Place:-

Jadeja injured his right knee and was ruled out for the remainder of the tournament. The BCCI has named Axar Patel in his place.

The All India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel in place of Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup.

Jadeja had earlier suffered a knee injury in the same knee during the three-match series against England in July and the 33-year-old seems to have not fully recovered from it.

The Ruled Out Due To Injury:-

The Chennai Super Kings captain was also ruled out of the 22nd edition of the franchise league due to a rib cage injury at the start of the IPL season.

The left-handed all-rounder bowled six overs and scored 35 runs in 29 balls in the first match of Group A against Pakistan, taking a wicket in two matches.

Axar Replaces Ravindra

In 25 T20 Internationals for India, Axar has scored 147 runs and picked up 21 wickets. The Delhi Capitals players were also a part of the India team during the West Indies series.
