A Very Close To My Heart :-

Azhar Mahmood said, “I was part of the team that won the title of Islamabad United in PSL 1. “The franchise and the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are very close to my heart as my hometown.

United have always admired the path and provided a platform for budding players, from Shadab to Asif to the most recent Wasim, all of whom have started their careers from here. It is a good platform to groom not only the local players but also the coaches.”

Saeed Ajmal is one such example and I look forward to working with him this year to take a new path in my career as head coach of Islamabad United.
