New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team will host England Tour of Pakistan 2022 before the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed this on Tuesday. After 17 years, the Pakistan team is going to host the visiting England. 7 T20Is will be played between the two teams, which will start from 20 September. The last T20 match of the series will be played on 2 October 2022.

The first 4 T20 matches of the series will be played in Karachi while the last three matches will be played in Lahore. The first T20 match will be played on 20 September while the second 22. Third 23 and fourth will be played on 25 September at the Khe National Stadium. The remaining three T20 matches will be held on 28 and 30 September while the last match will be held on 2 October at Gaddafi Stadium.

England team will tour Pakistan twice

The England team will return home after playing the T20 series. After this, the English team will tour Pakistan again after the ICC T20 World Cup. Where a three-Test series will be played between the two teams. The Test series will be held in December. Before the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year. It is good news for Pakistan that they are going to get a chance to prepare themselves against a strong team like England.

Shortest format in Pakistan before ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022

PCB’s director of international cricket Zakir Khan said, “We are extremely pleased to confirm that England will host England for seven T20Is in Karachi and Lahore. England are one of the top-ranked T20I teams. And playing the shortest format cricket in Pakistan before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will not only help them. But the team management to finalize their preparations.

After hosting England in September and December, Pakistan’s team will host New Zealand. The Kiwi team will tour Pakistan for the first two Tests and three ODIs. This tour of New Zealand will take place in December. After this, a series of five ODIs and five T20 matches will be played between the two teams in April.
