Babar Azam scored 77 runs in the second ODI against the West Indies and could not complete his century. But he had scored consecutive centuries in the three previous ODIs. Azam scored 103 runs in the first ODI against West Indies and just before that in the second and third matches of the three-match ODI series against Australia, he scored 114 not out and 105 not out.
Like Babar Azam, Zaheer Abbas, Saeed Anwar, Herschelle Gibbs, AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, Ross Taylor, Jonny Bairstow, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hold the record for three consecutive centuries in ODI cricket. If Babar had completed his century in the second ODI against West Indies, he would have surpassed these 9 batsmen and became the second batsman in the world to score four centuries in four matches.
