Babar Azam shatters the record books by scoring blistering century, many veterans left behind
Pakistan’s Babar Azam Azam created history by scoring a century in the Lanka Premier League on Monday. Babar Azam became the second batsman in the world to score 10 centuries in men’s T20 cricket. West Indies explosive opener Chris Gayle holds the record for scoring the most centuries in T20 cricket.
Babar Azam ‘s first century in Lanka Premier League :-
Babar Azam scored a match-winning century for Colombo Strikers against Galle Titans in the Lanka Premier League 2023 on Monday. He scored 104 runs in just 59 balls, with the help of which Colombo Strikers successfully chased down the target of 189 runs.
Babar Azam did this feat in the fourth match of his debut season. Babar Azam had a mediocre start in the LPL as he got out after scoring only 7 runs. But he soon found his rhythm and scored 59 and 41 runs in the next two matches respectively.
First Asian batsman to score 10 centuries :-
Babar Azam became the first Asian batsman to score 10 century in T20 cricket. India’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli occupies the second place in this list with 8 centuries.
