The board is looking to rope in specialist fast bowling and fielding coaches but it is likely that they will not have one from overseas before the Afghanistan series starting February 23.
Champaka Ramanayake, BCB’s fast bowling consultant High-Performance Unit, is likely to work in an interim stint with the senior side.
Nazmul Hasan said, “We are looking for a fast bowling coach who has the experience of working with international teams. Till then Champaka (Ramanayake) can work with them.”
He said that he had to pay the price for Otis Gibson’s ouster as Bangladesh’s fast bowling coach. “Gibson is a huge loss from Prince. All the fast bowlers said they were learning a lot from him.”
