Bangladesh to face PNG in a group game of the high-stakes final
Bangladesh will face PNG in the group game of the high-stakes final, Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea have entered to play in their final match of the first round of Group B with an entry into the Super 12.
The Oman Cricket Academy Ground:-
Defeated by Scotland in their opening match, and intimidated by Oman at the start of their second, Bangladesh’s hopes of making the Super 12 round depend on a comprehensive performance against PNG at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
Bangladesh is third in the four-team table with two points from Oman in terms of run rate. If they lose, they are out of the tournament. Even if they win on Thursday, their net run rate will be tested considering that three teams could end up with four points each.

PNG are getting their share from Scotland, as well as the fight they themselves saw in the previous game against the same opponents. Two days ago, they came back from 35/5 chasing almost 166.
Players arriving at the World Cup are still not mathematically out of competition. However, their priority is to get their maiden World Cup win and a win against a strong T20 side in return for a riskier net run rate boost.

Shakib Al Hasan’s form in the middle order is certain, but he could have hit more at the death. Although they cannot change their XI, the batting order may change.

PNG has suffered more this year and their top order is showing a downward trend. In order to compete against Bangladesh, their batsmen will have to rediscover their touch and play more games with enlightenment.

Shakib Al Hasan:- “I have to give very excellent to the allies, the way they manage to play cricket in addition to adverse conditions. They played good cricket.
