In addition to hammering the ball to cover all parts of the park, the Scorchers’ opener is sure to be on the side when the Sixers are sweating off the bowlers. Josh Inglis and Kurtis Patterson use their firearms to set a bigger objective for the defending champions to seize the curb of the game.

On the other hand, Sixers captain Moises Henriques has used all his tactics to break the coveted partnership. Meanwhile, Kurtis Patterson hit the ball hard and completed his fifty in just 33 balls.

For the Scorchers, the 120-run partnership between the opening pair came to an end when Sixers bowler Hayden Kerr’s fine delivery caught Patterson for 64 (41).

However, Hayden Kerr heaved a sigh of relief by breaking the crucial stand to file the team’s first breakthrough. Inglis, meanwhile, added 50 runs to his name and then joined the next batsman Mitchell Marsh to inspire the innings.

Ben Dvarshuis 66 (29) was just the batsman who was somewhat determined to be for the Sixers but fell short for Hatzoglu to hand a clinical victory to the Scorchers. It was simply a good day for the Scorchers, as they batted aggressively and bowled consistently.
