Under Cricket Australia’s soon-to-be-announced model. All eight BBL teams will start residing in the Melbourne hub at the end of the season.
Some matches will be moved to Victoria. While some teams will be able to host home games in a fly-in, the fly-out scheme is still to be played across the country.
It is understood that chartered flights may be used for those matches outside Victoria to reduce contact with the public and reduce the risk of further infection.

CA has had to postpone two matches in the tournament so far. But is determined to build on the pressure with the outbreak in both Brisbane and Melbourne Stars camps.

Hockley said his belief the competition could continue was based on the fact that the outbreaks were “mainly” in only two teams.

The Melbourne Stars have also postponed one game but were forced to play another two with local replacement players filling in.
Speaking after last night’s game against the Adelaide Strikers, Matthew Wade revealed that this week the off-field restrictions on BBL players have become stricter.
“It’s starting to get difficult, this tournament. We’ll try to keep the train on the tracks, but if it can’t be done, it can’t be done.
