BCB embroiled in BCCI vs PCB controversy, unhappy with excessive travel will have an impact on their Asia Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday admitted that excessive travel will have an impact on their Asia Cup 2023 campaign. BCB and other Asian countries have found themselves in trouble because of the ongoing India vs Pakistan Cricket Board (BCCI vs PCB) storyline.

The Asia Cup 2023 is being played under the hybrid model

The Asia Cup 2023 is being played under the hybrid model. And as per the schedule, Bangladesh, who are in Group B, will play their group stage matches in Sri Lanka and Pakistan respectively.

After playing their first Group B match against Sri Lanka on 31 August. They will travel to Pakistan to face Afghanistan on 3 September. If they qualify, they will play their first Super Four game before returning to Sri Lanka to play the next two Super Fours. Play. If they qualify for the Asia Cup 2023 final, they will play it in Sri Lanka as well.

Jalal Younus, president of BCB cricket operations, told the media-

“Yes, we have to go to Lahore for the first match. The first round will have two matches, one in Sri Lanka and one in Pakistan. We have to leave because we can’t do anything else. The next match after 31 August is on 3 September. The Asia Cup organizers [ACC] have opted to take the teams on chartered flights to make travel more comfortable. We will fly on chartered flights. The Asian Cricket Council is in charge of it. Of course, we would like to fly with the best airline, be it a national airline or a chartered flight; Either way, it will be beneficial for all,” Jalal Younus, president of BCB cricket operations, told the media at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
