The BCB has said that Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is being rested from all forms of international cricket till April 30. As a result, he will miss Bangladesh’s upcoming tour of South Africa, which runs from March 12 to April 8.

BCB has not named any other player for Shakib in one place. And the preliminary ODI team is about to travel to South Africa without him.

In such a situation, he has now expressed his desire to stay out of the tour citing a break from international cricket. Last week, he was selected in Bangladesh’s ODI and Test squad for the tour of South Africa starting later this month. Hassan told ESPN Cricinfo, “It is quite logical to think that if his mental and physical condition had deteriorated, he would not have given his name for the IPL auction.
