BCCI and NCA challenged Hardik Pandya, prove your fitness by bowling so many overs

New Delhi, Online Desk. Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya appointed as the captain of the new IPL team Gujarat Titans. If everything goes well, he can be seen captaining this team in IPL 2022. To say that everything is fine means that Hardik Pandya has to prove his fitness before IPL 2022 and for this he is at the National Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. He will first prove his fitness in NCA and only then he will be allowed to play in IPL 2022. However, this time it is not going to be easy for him as NCA and BCCI have challenged him to first bowl at least 10 overs and prove his fitness.

NCA physio and VVS Laxman to decide fitness test schedule for Hardik Pandya

Speaking to Inside Sports, a BCCI official said that the NCA physio and VVS Laxman will decide the fitness test schedule for Hardik. However, the selectors of Team India have made it clear that Hardik Pandya will have to bowl at least 10 overs and pass the mandatory Yo-Yo test as per the prescribed criteria. This test is not specially designed for Hardik Pandya. And all cricketers are required to pass a fitness test. This is mandatory for centrally contracted players before IPL.

Hardik will undergo these tests under the watchful eye of NCA Director VVS Laxman and NCA Physio. Team India’s physio Nitin Patel will also be present during the test. It is necessary to pass his fitness test before IPL 2022.
