The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced all its central contracts on Wednesday, February 28, after which everything has happened exactly as everyone expected. That is, BCCI has terminated the central contracts of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer with immediate effect.
BCCI expelled Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan for this reason :-
Let us tell you that both these batsmen have been continuously ignoring the instructions of BCCI for some time, after which BCCI has taken this big step to punish them.
On the absence of these two from the central contracts, a BCCI statement said, “Please note that Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have not been included for annual contracts in this round of recommendations.”

These will be the criteria for joining the central contract: –
BCCI has also said in its statement that all those players who fulfill the criteria of playing 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20Is between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024, will be automatically included in Grade C. will go.
This means that Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan – who have played only two Test matches so far, could move to Grade C if they play in the 5th Test against England in Dharamsala.
Let’s talk about the full list of players who will get central contracts for 2023/24:-
- BCCI has included a total of 4 players in Grade A+ which are Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
- Grade A includes a total of 6 players including R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya.
- Grade B includes a total of 5 players including Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
- In Grade C, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar are included. A total of 15 players have been included.
